Each year our staff members continue their educational training through seminars, classroom, and workshops. We do this to stay on top of the financial trends and developments in our ever-changing financial world.
We are a Family Business and We Are Here to Stay
As a multi-generational family business, we value our reputation and our history in the community.
We have been in business since 1971 when Howard Monheit and his wife, Carole, opened a sole-proprietorship CPA practice in Sun City, AZ. In 1985, Mike Zongolowicz joined Howard as a partner in the firm and the name changed to Monheit & Zongolowicz CPAs. Howard and Carole’s son, David, became a CPA in 1991 and began working within the firm in 1993. In 1995, David spearheaded the construction of a second office in Sun City West, AZ.
David’s sister, Michelle, married Gary Frisch and in 2001, Gary came on-board with the family firm. In 2002, and upon attaining partnership status, the tax business name changed to Monheit Zongolowicz Frisch CPAs PLC.
Early on in David’s career, he met the requirements and passed the test for the designation of Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) sponsored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In 2003, he opened his wealth management business, originally named Diversified Asset Money Management (a derivative from the initials of his name, David A. Monheit).
From there the business grew and expanded to cover more of the Phoenix metropolitan area and expanded to Scottsdale. As the years passed, client acquisition expanded to many states in the US. In 2014, we made a decision to combine both West Valley offices into one location and in July of 2015, we moved to our current location at 12455 West Bell Road, Surprise, AZ 85378. To celebrate the change, we updated the business name to reflect the fact that we offer financial planning and wealth management in addition to traditional CPA services. Thus Monheit Frisch Group PLC, is the name of our umbrella organization under which our two complementary businesses exist:
Monheit Zongolowicz Frisch CPAs PLC
Monheit Frisch Wealth Management LLC
We Are Comprehensive
At Monheit Frisch Group PLC, we provide the full array of CPA services along with comprehensive wealth planning and management. When our clients fully engage both CPA services and Wealth management services, we focus our recommendations and asset management by considering the tax implications of your annual income tax burden, whether you are an individual or a business entity.
Clients view our highly qualified and educated professionals as trusted business advisors. We know the right questions to ask, and that sets us apart from many other tax and wealth management providers. We can help you navigate the complex and dynamic Arizona tax laws to ensure you stay in compliance.
Our Services Are Performed in a Relaxed and Casual Atmosphere
Other than our appreciation for architecture and design, we are not “stuffy” or “pretentious.” We hope that your experience in our office is friendly, comfortable, and caring. Our goal is for you to look forward to your visits with us as if you are visiting an extended family member that you have grown to value and respect.
To ensure that we provide you with the best service, we have handpicked a remarkable group of people that work hard to deliver excellent service and support to you. No matter whom you contact, you will find smiles and knowledgeable advocates.
We Appreciate the Good Things in Life
From the moment you step into our Surprise office, we want you to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and the attractive design of every inch of the office. We have a unique range of art from contemporary to original-production cel animation collectibles. The décor includes mid-century modern furniture in gray, teal and orange. We have a state-of-the-art breakroom where we can serve you coffee, tea, and many flavors of lattes and espresso. We chose our Scottsdale office location to express the same level of environmental appreciation.
Our Office Uses State-of-the-Art Technology
The practice of accounting, tax preparation, and financial planning is not a static profession. Gone are the days of endless hand written entries into ledgers and using adding machines to balance accounts.
Today, we rely on software, clouds, high tech calculators, and computers to handle complex procedures and reconciliations. At Monheit Frisch Group PLC, we have implemented many digital platforms and business methods to help us produce state-of-the-art products, research, and reports. Regardless, you will still see our professionals surrounded by the 10-key.
We Value Integrity and Fiduciary Standards
On April 6, 2016, the Department of Labor (DOL) issued a new conflict of interest rule designed to provide greater protection to IRA owners, retirement plans and plan participants. The DOL expanded the circumstances under which investment professionals servicing IRAs and retirement plans considered as fiduciaries under ERISA. By setting up a uniform fiduciary standard for all financial advisors, the hope is that this will prevent inferior investment advice and excessive fees.
The fiduciary standard of care requires that all financial advisors act solely in the client’s best interest when offering financial advice. Monheit Frisch Wealth Management LLC has been demonstrating this level of service for many years. As CPAs and Personal Financial Specialists, we abide by the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct to put the client’s interest above our own. The CFP® professional in our office also abides by the same level of standards of the CFP® Board.
To demonstrate our proactive care, we provide an engagement letter with our fees clearly established at the beginning of our relationship and we only recommend financial products in our client’s best interests. We meet with clients on a mutually agreeable schedule, quarterly, bi-annually, or annually and review their accounts in person and in writing. We communicate our findings in straightforward terms frequently and provide guidance as the investing environment ebbs and flows, keeping you informed every step of the way.
Recently, we began offering a fixed fee financial planning service branded as Method 10® - Seasonal Planning. While some financial advisors can help you focus on one or two areas of your financial health, Method 10® - Seasonal Planning can help you with many more! But not all at once. In four seasons of the year, we will focus on Tax Planning, Goal Tracking, Asset Allocation, and Family Security and Cash Flow. The focus of this program is all about you – your values, your beliefs, your needs and your goals. Our current clients feel comfortable asking us any and every financial planning related questions, without hesitation. You are welcome to come in for a no-obligation, complimentary appointment and we will be happy to explain the details of this extraordinary program.
