Ann Reagan, Client Services Coordinator
Coordinator Extraordinaire – Creates Order and Eliminates Chaos
Ann joined Monheit Zongolowicz CPAs in 2008 and quickly mastered her supportive role on the CPA and wealth management sides of the business. Within two years, she settled into a new role of Executive Assistant to David Monheit. As the business grew over the years, she was a natural fit to ensure all departments were in harmony and nothing fell through the cracks. Ann's title is now Client Services Coordinator, which more closely describes her work for the company.
Since joining the firm, Ann has completed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams and also holds the Life and Health Insurance license for Arizona.
Ann is a devoted wife and mother, who enjoys traveling, entertaining friends, kayaking and spending time with her family.
Scarlet Filmore, CFP®
A woman’s view and approach to financial advice.
Scarlet works with individuals and families to help them reach their financial goals. Her approach includes a discovery process that identifies a client's lifestyle goals and current financial resources and follows with a personalized financial plan. Scarlet is knowledgeable and passionate about providing financial education through client meetings and community workshops. She is especially fond of working with business entrepreneurs.
Scarlet was born and raised in Wooster, OH. She graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a Bachelor's degree in International Business. Her career in financial services began in 2003 working in a financial firm in Gahanna, OH. In 2011, she began working with Monheit Frisch Group PLC as a member of the wealth management team.
Scarlet is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. As a CFP® certificant, Scarlet upholds a fiduciary standard, which focuses on the best interest of her clients. Scarlet also holds the FINRA Series 7, Series 66 and Arizona Life and Health Licenses.
Some of her interests include cooking classes, trying new foods, and reading everything from novels and biographies to articles on foreign affairs. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two very active sons.
Vicki Dauer, Enrolled Agent
Vicki brings the skills and vantage point of an Enrolled Agent to the table.
Vicki is outstanding in her field of taxes, accounting, and bookkeeping. In 1981, she graduated Summa Cum Laude (with a double major in Accounting and Business Management) from Jordan College in Flint, Michigan. During those years, she served as Secretary of the Student Council and placed 2nd in an essay contest with her entry about Martin Luther King.
She has earned over 38 years of work experience in all fields of accounting and taxation. She is a Certified Enrolled Agent and is a member of NAEA (National Association of Enrolled Agents). Business taxes are her specialty.
Vicky and her husband Randy once came from Michigan to Arizona to visit some friends. They liked the area so much that they ended up buying a house before they left. Although they both love to travel, Vicki's passion is for her Barbie Doll collection. She hopes to one day open a museum to showcase her 5000+ collector models.
Beth Nordby, Wealth Management Assistant
Watching and reporting for all accounts.
Beth joined the firm in 2013 and brought with her years of experience in customer service. She spent seven years with American Express and most recently worked at a Scottsdale CPA firm for four years. Beth aims to understand the business and learn how to serve our firm and clients. She currently holds the Life and Health Insurance license for Arizona.
When not at work, Beth likes to spend time with her husband and daughter. Beth is an equestrian lover and currently owns and trail rides a six-year-old thoroughbred named "Money." She earned her Progressive Ongoing Education Awards for Wealth Management Assistants from our broker-dealer, 1st Global, four years in a row. Attaining this award requires ongoing education and demonstration of understanding the financial planning topics covered.
Lisa George, Wealth Management Assistant
You can trust her with your “trust” documents.
Lisa has spent over 20 years in the financial industry working with trust companies and wealth management firms. Her area of expertise is with trusts, and she carefully examines the terms laid out in the trust(s). Before coming to Monheit Frisch Group PLC, Lisa worked for M&I Trust Company (now BMO Harris Bank) in their Trust Department.
Lisa processes all new accounts, preparing and reviewing for accuracy before submitting documents to our broker-dealer, 1st Global. Lisa's work and educational efforts have earned her the Progressive Ongoing Education Awards for Wealth Management Assistants four years in a row.
She has a reputation in the office for creating heavenly brownies and baked goods! Everyone sings her praises when they see her coming to the office with goodies. Lisa has a love for music, theater, dancing, and singing. She can't contain her love for life. Her children, ages 17 and 19, are on the road to fulfilling their dreams – one starting college and the other in the military. Her stepson, age 29, loves his job at a college-prep school.
Christine Barber, Bookkeeping Manager
She can add joyfulness to the art of bookkeeping . . . seriously?
Christi, as we all call her, received a B.S. in Accountancy from ASU in 1992. Since then she worked 15 years as an accountant at a typography company, seven years as an Assistant Controller for a retail company, and eight years as Controller for a manufacturing/service company. She knows her "stuff," as they say.
Her parents moved to Arizona when she was five so that her dad could get his Master's Degree in Psychology at a local university. She has lived here ever since.
Outside of work, she and her family love the outdoors. She will tell you that she has been married for over 30 years to the love of her life and has two fantastic children. Whenever they can get away, you will find them four wheeling, camping, or boating at Lake Pleasant or Apache Lake.
Natalie Briggs, Office Manager
“Going to Kansas City . . . Kansas City, Here I Come . . .”
Natalie joined the firm in 2011. She started at the Sun City office working with Mike Zongolowicz and Howard Monheit answering the phones, assisting clients, assembling and invoicing tax returns, filing and scanning. In 2015, both the Sun City office and the Sun City West office combined and moved to Surprise, AZ. The move has united all of our staff members into one great cohesive group. There is never an average day here! Some days all of us wear many hats!
Natalie is a native of Kansas City, Missouri NOT Kansas! Before she came to work at Monheit Frisch Group, she worked for one of the largest law firms in Kansas City for 17 years in the Accounting Department supporting the Controller, Billing Supervisor, Accounts Receivable and Payable Supervisor, Payroll Supervisor and Purchasing Agent.
She enjoys spending time with family in Arizona and Missouri. A trip to Happy Jack, AZ is always welcome to enjoy the cooler temperatures and fresh pines! Natalie and her husband have one son who is in the Marines.
Ellen Maloney, Bookkeeper
Experience “counts” with Ellen.
Ellen and her husband moved from Rochester, NY to Arizona in 2006. They thought it would be a great place to retire. However, it turned out that only Ellen's husband ended up retiring. Fortunately for us, Ellen wanted to continue working.
Before joining the firm, Ellen was the bookkeeper for a baseball-specialty retail store in Glendale, AZ. Her duties included controlling inventory and all accounting and HR functions. She has been in accounting since 19 years old, doing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory control. During the last ten years, she added payroll to her repertoire.
Ellen loves animals, especially those in harm's way, and avidly supports the efforts of the Humane Society. She and her husband have rescued five animals which currently live with them – two cats and three dogs.
Christina Swan, Payroll
Home Again, Home Again to Explore Arizona
Christina Swan is a bookkeeper for Monheit Frisch Group, PLC. She has worked as an assistant in bookkeeping positions since 2005. Before moving to Colorado, she worked for a well-known CPA firm in Phoenix, CPA’s doing bookkeeping and administrative work. She recently moved back to Arizona after spending six years in beautiful Durango, Colorado. Living and working in Colorado gave her the unique experience of meeting and working with a variety of people. She had the exciting opportunity of working as an assistant to the Honorable Judge Suzanne Carlson at La Plata County Combined Court. As her family situation changed, she stepped out of the courtroom to work as an assistant to a well-known real estate attorney, Denny Ehlers, in Durango. Denny Ehlers later joined the firm of Goldman, Robbins, Nicholson, and Mack, and Christina became part of the group as well and assisted all five attorneys.
Christina is excited to be back in Arizona and working as a bookkeeper. When she isn’t crunching numbers, she loves to be outside. Her love for the outdoors blossomed while living in Colorado where one of her favorite hikes was Ice Lakes near Silverton. Her two daughters are her inspiration. Two years ago they adopted a rescue dog and named her Nala. Nala became part of their family along with their other little dog, Chase-man. The three of them, along with their dogs, can be found exploring new places and searching for new adventures together.
Megan Stout, Bookkeeper
Megan brings energy and sunshine to the Bookkeeping Department every day.
Megan is originally from the suburbs of Chicago, where most of her family still resides. In 2009, she married the love of her life, Alex while residing in Bozeman, MT. In May of 2016, Alex accepted a job at Amazon in the Global Security Department in Phoenix, AZ and they moved to Surprise, AZ.
Her background includes over seven years processing tax returns, providing administrative work in the front office, and customer service. Megan joined the Monheit Frisch team in 2016 in the Bookkeeping Department. Her joyful outlook and friendly demeanor is an outstanding asset to our firm.
When not at work, Megan loves to create cards and DIY projects for her home and her yard. Megan and Alex can often be found at Diamondback baseball games (but they also favor the Dodgers) or watching Netflix comedies at home. If home alone, Megan will find a good chick-flick. They have an 8-year old Bichon-Frise named "Willie" that they love to spoil!
Mary Zamora, Administrative Assistant
Mary brings almost 20 years’ experience in professional administrative support to our firm. Her experience includes tax return assembly, recordkeeping, A/R and A/P as well as her personable skills in meeting and greeting our clients and helping to make them feel a part of Monheit Frisch Group’s “family”. She has quickly become a dedicated member of both the accounting and wealth management business teams.
When she’s not spending her time away from the office with her husband, daughters, sons-in-law and three beautiful grandchildren, Mary enjoys reading, baking and cooking (especially Mexican food!) and exploring new avenues of creativity.
Her motto is “Honesty is the best policy”, and she brings this element of professionalism to work with her every day.
Julie Calhoun, Director of Marketing and Platforms
Is There Life After Retirement? There Will Be Soon!
Before coming to the firm, Julie had retired after 27 years with the Postal Service. As a national trainer, she helped set up two major call centers for the post office (1-800-Ask-USPS) and produced six weeks of training materials for the people who would answer the phones.
After retiring, she looked for a part-time retirement job near her home in Surprise. She answered an ad in the paper for the position of wealth management assistant for David Monheit. Eleven years later, she is still here. Her latest role in the company is the Director of Marketing and Platforms.
As the business grew, she asked her daughter, Ann Reagan, to join her at the firm. They have enjoyed working together for many years.
At home, Julie enjoys visiting with her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies include photography, photo editing, reading, traveling and creating photo storybooks for family and friends.
Davielle Bagwell, Marketing Assistant
Created to be creative
Davielle, also known as Davi, is a native Phoenician, born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2005, Davi graduated from Collins College, a Graphic Design School, with a degree in Visual Communications. She married her husband, Jeremy, in 2011 and established her family in Goodyear, Arizona.
Post college, Davi spent her first seven years in the creative department with an Awards and Recognition manufacturer. She coordinated design projects for many highly valued businesses such as Intel, Honeywell, and Snap-On as well as the City of Phoenix and the State of Arizona. With her love for stationery, she advanced to Shutterfly, Inc. in 2012, supporting the sister brands Wedding Paper Divas and Tiny Prints. Davi has many contributions including preparations for hiring seasonal staff, quality check, and advanced photo and color customization with 11 exceptional self-designed wedding stationery sold on the website.
Outside of work, Davi enjoys sporting events, photography, freelance design, reading, and spending quality time with her children.
